We also treat: Abdominal pain Diarrhea Headaches Minor cuts and bruises Nausea Sexually transmitted infections Skin rashes Sprains and strains Urinary tract infections Vomiting If you are experiencing symptoms of a heart attack, such as chest pain, difficulty breathing and left arm pain/numbness, do not go to an urgent care location. Call 911 or go directly to your nearest hospital emergency room.

Should I come to urgent care if I have COVID-19?

Please do not visit urgent care unless you need immediate attention. People use urgent care centers for high fevers; accidents; falls; injuries, such as cuts, minor breaks, sprains and strains; and other illnesses. As a community, we need to ensure people who need Ochsner’s care can receive it. Please use at-home tests or community testing sites to seek COVID-19 tests, for travel and exposure testing, and the COVID-19 Self Care and Symptom Monitoring Program if possible. To sign up for the self-care program, go to MyOchsner. Click on "find care'' and then click on "symptoms and self help.'' A positive at-home test does not need to be confirmed in an Ochsner urgent care. If you need minor medical care for COVID-19, a virtual visit through Ochsner Connected Anywhere will allow you to see a doctor from the convenience of your own home. Should I go to urgent care if I have mpox?

According to the CDC, most people with mpox will recover on their own within about a month and won’t need medical attention. They can usually manage symptoms at home. There are currently no specific treatments or vaccines for mpox, but antiviral drugs used to treat smallpox may be used to treat mpox infections due to the similarities of the viruses. If you have tested positive for mpox, ask your doctor about treatment options. Vaccinations are now available to individuals who may be at high risk for mpox exposure. Appointments are now available and can be booked on the MyOchsner app or website myochsner.org. Once you’ve logged in, select “symptoms and self help” from the main menu to find the mpox attestation and vaccine schedule. If you are unable to schedule online, call 844-888-2772.

Our wait times vary by location. Our goal is to get patients in and out within 45 minutes. However, if we are busy, your wait time may be longer.

Ochsner Urgent Care accepts most major insurance. If you have health insurance, your copay will be due at the time of your service. If you don’t know your copay, contact your insurance provider.

If you don’t have health insurance, our urgent care clinics operate on a three-tier basis:

Urgent care visit with prescription only: $150
Urgent care visit with testing and prescription: $200
Urgent care visit with multiple tests or procedure and prescription: $300
