Continuing Ochsner’s more than 80-year education legacy today are the departments of Graduate Medical Education and Undergraduate Medical Education in which staff members provide exemplary customer service, coordinate complex logistics, and maintain a continuous focus on innovation and improvement. Training our future caregivers is one of the most valuable contributions we can make to the development of our next generation of medical leaders. In addition, the education team includes two departments focused on supporting and enhancing scholarly activity at Ochsner: Publishing Services and the Medical Library and Archives.

The Clinical Trials Unit (CTU) at Ochsner was established for the conduct of clinical and translational research studies. The CTU was designed to foster and promote clinical and translational research and bring current diagnostic and therapeutic research options to residents of the local community.  The Clinical Trials Unit provides a convenient site for for investigators and scientists at Ochsner to successfully conduct research studies and serves as an innovative resource to conduct clinical studies by investigators in regional academic and nonacademic institutions.
