Dr. Kiran Anand practices internal medicine and bariatric medicine at Ochsner Health. She attended Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans, and she completed her residency in internal medicine at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. She joined Ochsner Medical Center in 2010 initially in the Department of Hospital Medicine and transitioned to primary care in 2018 at Ochsner's West Bank location. She is board-certified in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine. She gained diplomate status with the American Board of Obesity Medicine in December 2023. Dr. Anand sees patients at Ochsner Health Center - Belle Meade's primary care clinic for both primary care needs and medical weight loss management. She aims to provide compassionate care to help patients achieve and maintain health by making informed lifestyle choices while addressing their chronic medical conditions and working to prevent new ones from developing. In her primary care practice, she has witnessed the need to provide more targeted advice and treatment for patients struggling with weight. In addition to managing the primary care needs for her patients, she also coordinates nutrition and exercise plans and prescribes medications to assist patients to achieve their weight loss goals to improve their overall health.
