More times than often, I avoid going to see a doctor due to the treatment of the doctors and staff, but the staff and doctor here appeared well trained and very caring in finding the cause and solution for my issue. It was very comforting and I won't hesitate going back when needed

They say things happen for a reason. My Dad ended up having to go to Ochsner Medical Center - Hancock. Being in healthcare for 20 years and having worked in the hospital system 15 + years I know good compassionate care when I see it. Every single person from the moment my Dad was brought in until his last breath was exceptional. Every nurse (Madeline, Gerri, Austin, Robin, Amber) and patient care tech (Jasmine), Case Manager (Jane), respiratory therapy, occupational therapy and the doctor (Dr. K) were so gentle and caring. They gave us hugs and words of comfort. One thing we were really shocked and impressed with was on our first night. Our night shift nurse came in and told us they had placed a table with some snacks and coffee outside of the room for us to have while we were there. When we went outside the room to take a look we were expecting just snacks and coffee but instead were surprised by this beautiful display that brought us to tears. It was so thoughtful and made us feel welcomed and that they really cared. The next morning one of the nurses (Gerri) even brought us breakfast that she must have paid for on her own. The doctor was very gentle, straight forward and not arrogant or in a rush each time he came to see Dad. He was very kind in his words and helped us to feel the best we could about our decisions. They never rushed us and gave us all the time we needed. The clergy that came to pray for us were also kind and understanding. It's a small hospital but those can often be the best because it's more like a family and we felt it. So this is our shout out to the amazing staff at Oschner Hancock Medical. Thank you all for being so compassionate and caring at the most difficult time. It means the world.

My second surgery , hip 4 years ago, healed up good after he took hardware out, with waiting a year , after Now treated me for a broken finger , waiting it out , hopefully the same with my middle left finger , and possibly shoulder surgery ! Hope not , tired of breaks 🤪. Thanks Dr big E Having to get rechecked, throbs,burns everyday!

I have lived here in Hancock County my 62 years all my life and our local hospital has come a long ways from years ago. So if you had a bad experience with the older Hancock Medical Center now going under the new name of Ochsner Medical Center please go back and give them another try now. This place has completely changed for the better. I would used to say go to Gulfport Memorial or Slidell Memorial but not anymore. Our facility here in our hometown of Bay St. Louis, Ms. Hancock County is something to really be proud of. The services and medical attention they provided was phenomenal an I'll never go to any other hospital ever again but Ochsner Medical Center is the place to go an feel confident with the medical attention that you will be receiving. I had a medical procedure done here recently and everyone there were the best, just phenomenal. From a 1 to a 10 I will give them a "10". I couldn't have had any better experience or care no matter where I might would have gone because Ochsner is the best!!!

Came into the ER tonight and learned we now have metal detectors. Great, public safety is paramount. I was greated by a friendly, professional desk receptionist, whom asked if I had any weapons to which I said no. She asked me to step through and as I stepped forward I check my knife pocket and realized I did in fact have my knife on me. I informed her and she asked me to take it out to my truck. The security guard, that sits on the opposite side of the metal detector never looked up from his phone. I came back, walked straight through, and he never looked up. Been sitting here for about 20 minutes, he’s been looking down the entire time until he decided to put his phone on the podium and I could see he was on TikTok. He had ear buds in too. This should not be allowed, and he should be ashamed. Public safety comes before TikTok.
